At Silvia K Ceramics, every piece begins in a sketchbook. Silvia's drawings serve as the foundation for the models and plaster moulds. With a hands-on approach, she mixes the casting slip and crafts her own glazes and decorating slips, ensuring that every step of the process reflects her dedication to the craft. Silvia's expertise is honed through her four years at the University of Brighton, culminating in her MDes in Ceramics and Visual Research in 2012. This dedication to every aspect of production results in ceramics that are not just beautiful, but a true labour of love.

Silvia is an active member of Crafts Council and Master Artisan at Homo Faber Michelangelo Foundation. In 2019 she was awarded grant from the Government of Kuwait and World Crafts Council Europe to represent UK at the Kuwait Craft Week. Silvia K Ceramics has also won awards such as Elle Decoration Design Awards 2016 and New Designers One Year On 2013.

In 2023, Silvia was invited by Habitat to be one of their guest designers. She was tasked with designing ceramic home objects in collaboration with a Portuguese artisan factory. These designs are included in Habitat’s 60th Anniversary Collection.

Silvia has proudly showcased her collections at renowned establishments such as The Conran Shop, The New Craftsmen, Heal's, March San Francisco, Malmstenbutiken Stockholm, Artek Helsinki, Bongenie Grieder, Le Bon Marché Paris, Provide in Vancouver, Stahl & Band in LA, and Idée Japan. With a global reach, the brand has successfully undertaken commissions for esteemed interior designers across the UK and around the world.

Alongside her studio venture, Silvia worked as a technical demonstrator in the University of Brighton Ceramics Department from 2015-17 where she gained exceptional teaching experience specialising in hand building techniques, surface decoration, slip-casting and  mould making. She also runs small group classes in her teaching studio.
