This deep bowl is skillfully crafted for both utility and beauty. It’s flat base and rounded deep sides balance the form perfectly. Inside, a solid colour glaze softly fades at the rim, revealing the natural terracotta beneath. The exterior has the same glaze and a playful scalloped border. Creating this piece requires strength and patience; it is slip cast for a smooth light finish and holds about 10 liters of liquid clay. The glazing process is intricate, as the scallops need multiple layers for detail, requiring careful precision. The unglazed terracotta exterior is polished to a soft feel and sealed with natural wax. A stunning centerpiece, this bowl brings organic charm to any space, complementing a variety of interiors.
